Junk Jazz is a dynamic Detroit-based improvisational duo featuring Japanese jazz pianist and composer Aya Sekine and renowned Detroit percussionist Djallo Djakate. Merging decades of experience in Black American music traditions, experimentalism, and free jazz, the duo has quickly established itself within Detroit's forward-leaning music scene, creating high-energy, boundary-defying soundscapes.
